Murals

An art student of mine painted this with me on a wall in her room.  It's about seven feet tall.

Hand painted silk

A Gentleman client wanted something masculine for his condo.  I suggested accenting the arches of his doorways and fireplace with something architectural.

I first faux finished the walls to match the matting on the artwork, then I added the leaves.

The fish is real (I guess), but the grape vines and the wine bottle are painted.

This jungle mural is in a small windowless powder room.  The wall to wall mirror doubles it and makes the room look much bigger.

The tiger hides behind the door.

The client had a great idea.  She had me take the pottery shapes from the fabric and I painted three designs repeated around the top of the wall in a space between two moldings.

This mural is in a small TV room.  The colour choices are the clients.  When they lower the room's lights, they say it looks like the lights come on in the movie marquee.

This games room was very unique.  The stumps were all painted to look like old circus attractions:  the bearded lady, fat lady, cyclops, strong man, and below, the ringmaster. The dart board is also painted on.  (They didn't actually want anyone throwing darts.)

As well as the pool balls, I painted drinks on the shelf:  a beer glass and can, and a green apple martini.

The idea is to hang family photos in the tree's branches for a life size "family tree".
