Children's Murals

Since I was a kid, Dr. Seuss has always been a favorite of mine.  What a pleasure to paint this baby room.

This was great fun to paint.  As per the client's instructions, I painted over the shark's teeth and eyes with glow-in-the-dark paint.

Beatrix Potter's Peter Rabbit and friends are often the source of inspiration for nurseries and baby rooms.

I almost need another page just for hockey murals.  Many, like this one, are actually Tromp l'oeil and perhaps should be on that page, but in the end I thought they are really kid's murals, so I decided to keep them here.  Enjoy.

In this mural, the top shelf is real, all the rest is painted.

You see this wall straight ahead as you walk into the room. It really gives the impression that there is a recessed cabinet or hockey locker.

Even the shelf is painted in this mural.

A true Canadian pastime.  This mural is approximately twelve feet across.

This cartoon mural runs across an entire wall of a boy's room.  That's him second from the left.

It's always fun to personalize a room.  The floral designs were taken from the embroidery on her bedding fabrics.

Ever heard of Betty Spaghetti?

Neither did I, until I was asked to design and paint this girl's room.  Betty is a pull-apart, inter-changeable doll with spaghetti hair that was an absolute favourite toy for this child.  I added the stripe to the dresser for the complete look.
